Big Shane owner and founder of his own label “Cut The Check Entertainment” inspired by dirty south icons such as Cash Money and Swishahouse brings classic hip hop club heat with poppy snares and huge rattling bass kicks. Born overseas in Taegu, South Korea to a military family, his father was often absent from the home due to military obligations, which cause him to mature into manhood quickly and stand out from the rest of his peers. Big Shane has built a buzz for himself not just locally but abroad without any help of any management, promotional or marketing team. Since a young age Shane has always been a wise businessman whether it was music, fashion, networking or everyday life, he was determined to succeed. Big Shane's musically influences come from the likes of Southern rap stars such as UGK, Cash Money, No Limit Records, Swishahouse, and Trill Ent., and also many hot indie artist from around the nation. He released his first underground project entitled “I Hold My Own” in 2006. This is where he started his grind while hustling Cd's by hand in the streets, to local schools, and to anyone he heard listening to Hip Hop music. Shane also frequented local corner stores that were supportive of him and his music in the beginning by asking for help in pushing his music to the street. He was labeled a local celebrity and since them he has been destined to succeed in the music industry. Fast forward, 2yrs later Shane started his on music group/entertainment label “Cut the Check Entertainment” (C.T.C. Ent.). Full filling his dreams of owning a music company he began to network with people locally and internationally while studying different businesses and learning diverse skills in the entertainment industry. While completing his studies Shane worked hard on other musical projects and decided to start his own modeling team which consisted of female models aka “C.T.C. Models” which have been featured in many videos including major artists such as; Mike Jones, R. Kelly, Paul Wall, Ray J, Slim Thug and many more, including magazines and calender photo shoots, where they advertised “C.T.C Int.” apparel, while supporting there personal efforts and the music label/group. Make no mistake even with the big name and buzz that Shane has built for himself he's about more than just music and modeling he does overseas promotions and bookkeeping for many artist around the world. Hard work pays off, he has the connections, the energy and the drive, so why wouldn't he be a successful businessman? “There are many who label themselves as rappers and hard workers, but don't really know what it means and never take the time and effort to do things,” says Big Shane. “Most people only know what they hear and see on TV but that takes hard work and determination , thats why I labeled myself a rapper and musician.” From traveling overseas and state to state, Big Shane was the FIRST American musician to ever be featured on the Arab Times Press, for his music accomplishments which attracted the attention of many other big news outlets, including CNN. Big Shane has been busy, being featured /interviewed on many on line magazine sites, press releases, and on line/mainstream radio. At such a young age Big Shane is very intelligent, hard working and ambitious. Whatever he is apart of be it music or business ventures he will work to to get the job done. One song which is featured on his solo project, entitled, “God Forgive Me”, he goes on the introspective by reflecting on all the bad things in his past, the hard times between him and his family and he apologizes to his mother for the things he has done in the past. A catchy hook and a symphonic tune, anyone who has or is going through rough times, or is living with regrets can relate and will love the song. With all of his hard work, hustle and determination who knows what the future holds for Big Shane.
